At the request of the Russian Olympic Committee, a demonstration of the WYSS snowmaking system at the Kant Ski Resort in Russia ahead of the Sochi Olympic Games. The WYSS snow was tested by Jean-Luc Crétier, gold medal winner in the downhill at the 1998 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, as well as by the Kant Ski Club.

Time period
In the middle of May with daytime temperatures around 20°C.

Installation of two WYSS CC30-type snow machines twenty days ahead of the demonstration to produce 1,000 cubic metres of snow.
